The public is invited to attend the Spring Concert of the Fredericksburg Community Orchestra on Saturday, May 20, beginning at 11 a.m. at Hill Country Church, 107 E. Lower Crabapple Rd, Fredericksburg.
The concert includes performances by the orchestra and student ensembles under the direction of Theresa Britt.
The program will feature the premier of a composition by Mark Hierholzer, written for the Fredericksburg Community Orchestra. Other pieces are:
Pizzicati – Delibes Arr. Stroud
Concerto in D Minor (Mvmt. 1) – Bach Arr. Isaac
Adagio Cantabile – Beethoven Arr. Gruselle
Carmen Suite No. 2 – Bizet Arr. Frost
Admission is by donation, and the public is invited to stay and enjoy refreshments after the concert.
The Fredericksburg Community Orchestra is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of string education in the Hill Country. The orchestra consists of community members of all ages.
