Mission

The mission of Fredericksburg Community Orchestras is to promote string education and performances in Fredericksburg, Texas and the surrounding communities. Fredericksburg Community Orchestras will have three components:

• Suzuki Group Classes for youth
• Community Orchestra of non-professional string players ages 12 to adult
• Chamber ensemble of semi-professional musicians to perform special works

Other events supported by FCO will include:

• Summer String Camps
• Clinicians, Workshops, and Masterclasses that will bring teachers to the area
• School tours to educate children about string instruments

The orchestras will serve all community members and not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, national origin, religion, age, orientation, disability or socioeconomic status. Need based scholarships will be available for participation in ensembles.
