Suzanne Bell, President
Suzanne Bell is the mother of four children and a music enthusiast. Suzanne attended Texas State University and received a BS in Physical and Applied Geography and a Masters in Remote Sensing and GIS. Suzanne worked for Hays County and the Capital Area Planning Council, overseeing a major 911/mapping project for a ten county region and as a research biologist for an agricultural company in Fredericksburg, Texas. Suzanne currently works with her husband Mitch at Hill Country Solar and is co-founder of Ecolocalism.com. She played clarinet as a youth, and has tried to foster a love of classical music in her children and the community.
Melody Yuhn, Treasurer
Melody is a native Texan, now retired and living in Fredericksburg, Texas. A lifelong lover of music and the arts, she plays cello in the Fredericksburg Community Orchestra and serves on the board as Treasurer. Melody retired from Product and Marketing Management, Sales Engineering and Business Development in the high-tech industry. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Baylor University, as well as a Master of Business Administration from the Cox Business school at Southern Methodist University.
Susan Junker, Treasurer
Susan is an active volunteer in the Hill Country where she is the President of the Fredericksburg Swim Association, sponsor for the Our Lady of the Hills High School Swim Team, and volunteer at Ambleside School of Fredericksburg. She is originally from Flagstaff, AZ. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1995 with a BS in Science Business and also earned 2 varsity letters in Track & Field . After college she worked as a Case Manager and Program Director at Cedar Crest Residential Treatment Center in Belton, TX. Susan and her husband, Joel, have lived in the Hill Country since 1999 and have 4 children.
Cathy Seddon, Secretary
Cathy grew up in Austin, playing viola in school orchestra and Austin’s All City Orchestra.
She attended Tarleton State University and UT Austin. Her first careers were with a large
insurance company in Dallas and later a real estate and insurance agent. Her second, and
most rewarding career, for 25 years, she co-owned a group tour company primarily for
music groups and soccer teams. What a combination! She moved to Fredericksburg in 1995
and became active in Memorial Presbyterian Church, Fredericksburg Choral, on the board as
treasurer for Habitat of Fredericksburg, and had the privilege of being in 5 productions of the Fredericksburg Theater Company. Cathy’s current activities include volunteering for Hill Country Memorial Hospital, the Gillespie Literacy Council as an ESL tutor, Fredericksburg Theater Company, the Community Chorus, and GCHS.
Larry Kuhlken, Board Member
Born and raised in Southern California and received an engineering degree from Stanford University. Married 50 years to Jeanine with two grown children. Worked as a software engineer for GE, then IBM for 35 years. Retired as an IBM field executive in 1994. Moved to Fredericksburg and started second career in cattle ranching and wine grape cultivation. Became the Estate Vineyard manager for Pedernales Cellars in 2005. Recently retired again. Started choral singing in 7thgrade and has sung in classical community chorales in most communities where he has lived. Currently sings in Fredericksburg Chorale and German Choirs of Fredericksburg. Is a founding member of the Fredericksburg Theater Company.
