Fredericksburg Community Orchestra will present a free “Hauntcert” Children’s Concert on Saturday, Oct 29, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Halle, 212 W. San Antonio St. in Fredericksburg.
For this special family concert, the orchestra members will dress in costume and perform a short program of fun selections. The program includes Danse Macabre, the Oompa Loompa Song, The Monster Mash, and Theme from The Addams Family.
Following the concert, the children will enjoy a “musical petting zoo,” meeting the players and learning about their instruments. Halloween “goodies” and bottled water will be provided.
Earlier in the day at 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., students of Britt Studio will present solos and ensembles.
The orchestra is made up of community members of all ages and musical experience, and any string player is invited to join the group for future concerts, which include
