2025 Board Members

The Mission of Fredericksburg Community Orchestras is to promote string education and performances in Fredericksburg, Texas and the surrounding communities.

Our outreach will have four elements:

• String ensembles
  • A community string orchestra of mixed ages and ability for an intergenerational learning experience designed to bring out the best in young players and give mentoring opportunities to advanced players
  • Youth classes for a variety of ages using traditional classical repertoire and fiddling
  • A semi-professional Chamber ensemble to perform for special concerts and events
• Educational & performance units that visit surrounding areas in schools and churches to bring classical music to rural areas in the Hill Country.
• Summer programs for young string players that will attract a larger community from Kerrville, Boerne, San Antonio, Austin, and possibly further.
• Offering small scholarships to high school seniors who have participated in our programs as the go on to higher education.
