2026 Orchestra Boot Camp

Join us for our 2026 Orchestra Boot Camps and build a strong foundation for your string music journey!
Designed for absolute beginners, this camp starts with no prior knowledge required. By the end of the week, students will have learned basic playing techniques, a handful of songs, and everything they need to confidently continue in our school-year orchestra classes. Each class is two hours daily. Homework will be assigned each day.

Boot Camp 2 is designed for those with more than 1 year of playing experience, but are still in their early playing experiences.

July 13-17, 2026

GENERAL INFORMATION: The purpose of the camp is for students to learn the basics of violin, viola or cello playing and start a structured practice regimen that will lead to successful study of a string instrument. This is an intensive class that requires concentration and focus.

APPLICATION: Enrollment is open now through when the class fills to capacity (10 students only).  Applications may submitted online.

TUITION: Tuition for the workshop will be $150 per student. Full tuition must be paid at time of registration.

INSTRUMENTS: Instruments will be must be secured by the students. Terra Nova Violins and Antonio Strad in San Antonio has rentals available for approximately $25 monthly.  Some instruments are available from our inventory, but selection is very limited. Cellos must be rented by the student. Students must have appropriately sized instrument to learn properly. Please ask about the proper size. Buying cheap instruments on Amazon or eBay is discouraged as many of those must be put together and end up costing more than the instruments are worth to set up.

STUDENTS NEED TO BRING: Bring all music and supplies daily. Students must have good attitude to learn.

ATTENDANCE: Attendance is required all days of the camp. Please do not sign up if you can only go for some of the days. No refunds will be made for missed classes.

FINAL CONCERT: A final concert will be presented in the last 15 minutes of class on the final day of the camp at each location.
